Academic name: Cordia elaeagnoides
Melasculaceae Oyster Barley

Vocate is characterized by ocher-colored wood grain.
Although it is a plant of Boraginaceae rarely used as a material for musical instruments, this Bocote is attracting attention recently as a substitute material of rose kind, and is rigid yet easy to process and has good acoustic characteristics.
